SJD (San Jose del Cabo, IATA Code: SJD, ICAO Code:MMSD) is the fifth most important airport in Mexico located at San José del Cabo, Baja California Sur, Mexico servicing 1,902,303 passengers in 2004. Since then a increase is very probable yet we do not have exact information / data on the volume. Without a doubt is the San Jose del Cabo airport THE major hub for Loscabos, Cabo San Lucas and the East Cape area.

The airport is operated by Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico and the most frequented arriving foreign airlines at the San Jose airport are: Aeroméxico (Ontario, San Diego), Mexicana (Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Oakland, Sacramento), American Airlines (Chicago-O’Hare, Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles, New York-JFK)Continental Airlines (Houston-Intercontinental, Newark), Continental Express operated by ExpressJet Airlines (Houston-Intercontinental), Alaska Airlines (Los Angeles, Portland (OR), San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle/Tacoma), Delta Air Lines (Atlanta, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky, New York-JFK, Salt Lake City), Delta Connection operated by Atlantic Southeast Airlines (Salt Lake City).

yet this website is not about the airport – other BCS cities do have also airports and for some visitors maybe a better choice to look for. Todos Santos for example is maybe better reached by using the La Paz airport, Loreto has it’s own airport and even Cabo San Lucas has a smaller airport to arrive in.
